Silvia Busacca

Silvia Busacca, an emerging force in the world of filmmaking and acting, was born in Ragusa, Italy. Her journey is marked by resilience and determination, as she navigated personal tragedy to carve out an international career. Following the loss of both her parents, Busacca found purpose as a diplomatic spokesperson for the United Nations youth. Her artistic journey began with a brief period of study at the Accademia Artisti in Rome, where she immersed herself in the craft of filmmaking.

Through participation in masterclasses led by both Italian and international directors, Busacca refined her skills and broadened her artistic horizons. Her collaboration with the International Center for Generative Expressive Studies in Rome further enriched her understanding of the creative process.

In 2017, Busacca’s talent caught the attention of audiences and critics alike at the Venice Film Festival, propelling her career to new heights. This pivotal moment served as a catalyst for her subsequent endeavors in both acting and directing.

As a filmmaker, Busacca has crafted poignant narratives that resonate deeply with audiences. Her short films, including “RUMORS” set in the picturesque Marche region and “WATERBUS” dedicated to the iconic city of Venice, have garnered international acclaim and accolades.

In 2019, Busacca took on the role of protagonist in “IN LIMINE,” earning recognition at Italian festivals and receiving an honorary award from the Centre for Generative Expressive Studies Rome.

In 2022, Busacca transitioned into directing, making her debut with “RUMORS,” followed by the release of “WATERBUS” in collaboration with the International Centre for Generative Expressive Studies. The latter film garnered significant recognition, including nine category awards at the Good Vibes International Film Festival in India.
