Maylen Calienes is a Cuban-American multi-talented artist in the entertainment industry, excelling as a producer, writer, director, and actor. Calienes has made significant contributions to the industry, including Executive Producing the Student Academy Award-winning film “Esta es tu Cuba” and “The Shadow of the Sun,” which was Venezuela’s official selection for the 96th Academy Awards.

Her comedy, “The Three Bilinguals,” has gained both domestic and international acclaim for its universal story that amplifies the American Latino voice.

As an advocate for diversity and inclusion, Maylen founded the Latino Filmmakers Network in 2015 at the Sundance Film Festival. This nonprofit organization aims to bring visibility, opportunity, and proper representation to the Latiné community within the entertainment industry.
