I-Jien Jane Kou is a multi-talented individual whose career encompasses both technology and the arts. Kou holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a B.F.A. in Fine Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Additionally, she has obtained three Computer Information System and Application certificates from UCLA Extension. Before embarking on her journey in fine arts, Kou worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley, showcasing her diverse skill set and passion for technology.
Despite her early success in the tech industry, Kou’s true calling lay in the arts. She pursued her passion by earning a fine arts degree and creating impactful works. One notable project is her social sarcasm web series Rabbit Well, an animated comedy that humorously portrays superheroes saving the City of Boredom from zombies. Through her work, Kou infuses wit and satire, making poignant social commentary.
Kou has faced various personal challenges along her journey, including fears of financial instability, social judgment, loneliness, language barriers, and taking risks. These fears initially held her back from fully embracing her passions and pursuing her dreams. However, Kou has found the strength to confront these fears and transform her life.

Her recent short film Soul exemplifies her growth and creative vision.
