Michael Ringdal

Michael Ringdal is an award-winning producer, writer, and director whose impressive body of work has made a significant impact on the film industry. Born in the small town of Tonsberg, Norway, Michael now resides in Larvik, Norway. His journey in the creative arts began as a still photographer, capturing fashion, glam, and commercial imagery across the globe. Transitioning from photography to film, Michael directed numerous music videos and promotional content before making his mark in television. Starting as an extra, he gained invaluable experience and soon took on the role of casting extras for TV shows and movies. His first acting role was in the popular Norwegian television series, Borettslaget, in its third season.

Michael’s career took a significant turn when he became a producer. His debut film as a producer, Soul’s Mirror (2015), set the stage for his prolific career. He continued to write and produce a series of successful films, including Trapped (2015), Papel de Idiota (2015), Mi Amor (2016), The Bitter Man (2017), Como Tu (2018), That Day (2019), Road to Greatness (2019), Mojave Thirst (2019), Outcall: Initiation (2020), The Neighbor (2020), and Inner Calling (2020).

In 2022, Michael achieved a significant milestone by writing, directing, and producing Brave, followed by That’s The Plan and Satisfy You within the same year. His creative endeavors continued into 2023-2024, where he assisted his producing partner on the web series Cuckoo Loco.

Currently, Michael is immersed in writing, directing, and producing several upcoming projects, including Karma and Meeting You. His relentless passion for storytelling and his versatility across various facets of filmmaking have solidified his reputation as a visionary in the industry.
