His second short film, L’Amour est temps de reflets (Love is Time of Reflections), is a testament to his unique approach to storytelling. Richebourg blends literature, acting, and precise visual framing and editing to craft a cinematic poem forgoing dialogues which tells much with few means differently thought. The film’s French title cleverly plays on homophones, creating a ripple effect between time and love through words, images, and sound. In this piece, he seeks to bring life to the often unnoticed—sounds and images that embody deeper meanings. The original text in a voice over drives the progression like a mirrored clock, a metaphorical object exploited in the movie.

L’Amour est temps de reflets has garnered multiple awards and nominations worldwide. Most recently, it has been officially selected for screening at the prestigious 19th edition of the Marbella International Film Festival, held from October 2 to 6, 2024, in Marbella, Spain. This festival offers the opportunity to win a coveted award, a globally respected accolade.

Additionally, the film has been nominated for The World Class Film Awards 2024 in two categories: Best Narrative Film and Best First-Time Director (Yann Richebourg). The event will take place at the renowned International Baroque Museum in Puebla, Mexico, during the vibrant Día de Muertos celebrations on November 1st and 2nd, 2024. Lastly, L’Amour est temps de reflets has also been officially accepted to the DIVERSITY Shorts Film Festival, further solidifying Richebourg’s growing influence in the film industry.

Richebourg’s work resonates with a poetic sensibility, capturing moments that evoke deep reflection. He combines elements of visual art, sound, and narrative to create a unique cinematic experience, showcasing his belief that love remains a timeless force for healing and understanding.
