Lambert’s debut feature film, Ouroboros: Ocean Dreams (2009), is a compilation of ghost stories from around the world, reflecting his diverse experiences and interests. The film premiered at the 54th Cork Film Festival and demonstrated Lambert’s unique approach to storytelling.

His third feature film, Pushtar (2015), is a post-climate-change sci-fi set in India but filmed in Australia and Ireland. The film’s innovative approach and narrative earned it the ‘Spirit of IndieCork’ Award and high praise from Film Ireland, which described it as ‘an outstanding contribution to Irish cinema.’ This non-narrative film was largely improvised and laid the groundwork for his subsequent project, Remat (2024), a silent post-historic survival story featuring specially designed sign language.

Lambert’s creative talents extend beyond filmmaking into the art departments of commercial productions. He contributed to Virginia Woolf’s art collection in Vita and Virginia (2017), the heraldry for battle scenes in Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel (2021), and created a portrait for the Oscar-winning Poor Things (2023).

Lambert’s work continues to challenge conventional boundaries in cinema, art, and storytelling, exploring themes of history, environment, and human survival. His contributions to Irish cinema and his innovative approach to filmmaking make him a notable figure in contemporary cinema. Lambert’s passion for blending various artistic disciplines has made him a respected and influential artist in the international film industry.
