His passion for the art of cinematography led him to further his education by taking a Masterclass in Cinematography at the ASC in Los Angeles, an experience that enhanced his skills and knowledge in the field.

Nils’s dedication to the craft is evident through his membership in the BVK, the German Society of Cinematographers, showcasing his commitment to excellence in cinematography. Since 2014, he has worked extensively as a freelance cinematographer and editor, contributing his talents to various projects.

In recent years, Nils has ventured into creating his own experimental and fiction short films, showcasing his unique vision and artistic flair. Notable works in this realm include “The Awakening” and “Phoenix,” both of which highlight his ability to bring compelling stories to life through his lens.

Nils’s ambition and creativity culminated in his first feature film, a 90-minute fiction/mystery/sci-fi work titled “The Washer.” The film represents a significant milestone in his career and a testament to his growth as a filmmaker.
