Starting as a producer, Russell directed and produced live community awareness shows, including influential programs such as “The Shampu Show,” “The Dr. Conte Terrell TV Show,” “Savvy,” and “Thrive 360,” hosted by CleRenda McGrady.

Through these shows, she not only raised awareness about critical community issues but also demonstrated her innate ability to engage audiences with diverse and compelling content. Her journey took a significant turn when she produced and hosted her talk show, “Generation 2000,” where her passion for storytelling took a definitive shape. This led her to explore new horizons in documentary filmmaking, culminating in her directorial debut in 2018 with “The World Famous, Debate Coach, Dr. Thomas Freeman,” showcasing her skill as a director and her commitment to bringing powerful, real-life stories to light. Currently, Russell is involved in directing projects like “The James Harrell Story” and “The Honorary Mayor, Sandra Massie Hines of Sunnyside, Texas,” reflecting her dedication to capturing compelling narratives that resonate with viewers. Beyond filmmaking, Russell serves as an Integrated Account Executive at CW39, blending her creative vision with commercial acumen.
