Alain Deslongchamps, a native of Montreal, Canada, embarked on his journey into the realm of filmmaking while studying at the Faculty of Communication at UQAM. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, he honed his skills in filmmaking and screenwriting in Montreal before venturing to the New York Film Academy in 2004 to further refine his craft. His dedication to his passion led him to Europe, where he immersed himself in the art of filmmaking from 2000 to 2008, gaining invaluable experience in both fiction and commercial films.
Deslongchamps’ talent behind the camera began to gain recognition with his latest short fiction films, “Good Vibes” and “Le Choix de Sofia.” These works garnered critical acclaim, with “Good Vibes” being distributed by ShortsTV and screened over 100 times across the USA and Europe. Meanwhile, “Le Choix de Sofia” made its mark in top-tier film festivals, accumulating numerous awards and accolades along the way.
