Post-retirement, Tommy pursued photography full-time, enhancing his expertise through courses at Fox Valley Technical College. His work has graced books, magazines, and media outlets, showcasing his prowess. As a contributing photographer for ABC News in Los Angeles and a member of the National Association of Press Photographers, Tommy’s reputation flourished. He has been the official photographer for the Riverside County Office of Film and Television, capturing the essence of airshows like Planes of Fame and Wings over Camarillo since 2011 and 2016, respectively.

In 2015, Tommy’s talent was recognized with his role as the set photographer for the Emmy Award-winning PBS Documentary “Take Me Home Huey.” His contributions extended to the accompanying book documenting the film’s creation. His set photography credits include “Life After Oblivion,” “The Tale of Richard Pic,” “The Smartly’s,” and “PTSD a Soldiers Revenge.”

Beyond photography, Tommy is a best-selling author and screenwriter. His role as a motivational speaker and host of “The Real Tommy Unleashed” on the IQ Podcast Network amplifies his influence. His award-winning short film “Life After Oblivion” highlights his screenwriting and producing skills. His screenplay for “PTSD-A Soldiers Revenge” is in post-production, while his directorial debut on the pilot series “The Tale of Richard Pic” marks a new chapter in his career.

A founding member of VetPics Film Productions, Tommy’s work continues to resonate, from his portrayal in the national Spotify commercial to his best-selling novels “Haboob Wind” and “Two Million Steps.” His screenwriting accolades, panelist roles, and educational pursuits underscore his dedication to the craft, solidifying his legacy in the film industry.
